Commercial EPC's
From October 2008, owners of all commercial buildings also have to provide an EPC when they buy, sell or let commercial premises. This also includes:
- Sales by liquidators or receivers
- Sales and leasebacks
- Transfers between companies
Some properties are exempt from Commercial EPC's, these exemptions include:
- Places of Worship (e.g churches)
- Temporary Buildings In Use For Less Than 2 Years (Portable Buildings and Site Buildings)
- Free-standing (completely detached) units under 50sqm
- Low Energy Demand Buildings (e.g Agricultural buildings)
