Display Energy Certificates
Display Energy Certificates are required by law for all public sector buildings with a total useful floor area of 1,000 m2 or more.
The DEC shows the assessed energy performance of the building in operation, based on actual annually recorded data. DECs are required to be updated each year and an Advisory Report must be generated on the first year of display. In addition, the report is required to be updated every 7 years.
